Freshman Maddie Szyerk tied a school record Tuesday with a 65 in a round that included a hole in one on the par-three 16th hole.
Szeryk enters the final day of competition tied for first place at the “Mo” Morial Tournament at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas.
A&M is tied for second place after Szyerk’s round, the second of her collegiate career.
“I think everything was working for me today,” Szeryk said. “I hit the ball really solid and gave myself a lot of chances to make birdies, and I did. It’s pretty awesome [to have tied the school record.] I’m pretty honored and humbled to have shot that today.”
