Junior offensive tackle Koda Martin addresses the media at SEC Media Days Wednesday afternoon.

Texas A&M senior offensive lineman Koda Martin announced his intentions to transfer to Syracuse for his senior season. The move comes after his father, Kirk Martin, accepted a job as the quarterbacks coach at Syracuse in January. Kirk Martin left his head coaching job at Manvel High School to accept the position. Koda Martin’s father in law is Dino Babers, the head coach at Syracuse.
Martin made a big impact in his first three years at A&M and received the majority of starting reps at the left tackle position before he was sidelined after suffering a heat stroke on April 2.
The 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman is eligible to play immediately as he is making the switch as a graduate transfer.
