Following an 88-65 thumping of West Virginia, the Texas A&M men’s basketball team rose nine spots to No. 16 in the latest AP Poll released Monday afternoon.
A&M had the highest jump in the first AP Poll of the regular season. The 23-point loss caused the Mountaineers to have the largest drop, falling 13 spots to No. 24.
Leading the charge in Germany for the Aggies was Admon Gilder, who received SEC Player of the Week honors Monday afternoon for his performance.
Gilder tied teammate Tyler Davis for a game-high 23 points, and added nine rebounds, seven assists and a steal, coming just short of a triple-double.
A&M returns to the court on Friday night as the Aggies host UC-Santa Barbara at 7 p.m.
