Senior safety and captain Armani Watts is Texas A&M’s active career leader in tackles with 241 in his first three seasons.

Texas A&M will be without starters Armani Watts and Connor Lanfear for Friday’s Belk Bowl against Wake Forest, team officials confirmed prior to kickoff.
Watts will miss due to a lingering upper rib injury, and will sit despite dressing and participating in warmups. Lanfear’s injury is unknown.
In place of Watts at safety will be Larry Pryor and Keldrick Carper. Derrick Tucker will return to the field in the second half after serving his first-half suspension for a targeting foul against LSU.
Lanfear started 11 of 12 games this season at right guard. Freshman Jared Hocker was in Lanfear’s usual spot during team warmups.
