Junior F Henry Coleman (15) celebrates a three pointer during a game vs. Vanderbilt on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, Tennessee.

A day removed from coming in No. 15 in the preseason AP poll, Texas A&M men’s basketball has been picked to finish second in the SEC in the conference’s preseason poll.

Junior guard Wade Taylor IV was also voted First-Team All-SEC and Player of the Year.

The ranking is voted on by both national and SEC media members.

The Tennessee Volunteers are the only team in front of the Aggies, as A&M ranks just ahead of Arkansas, Kentucky and Alabama for the No. 2 spot.

The Maroon and White finished last season second in the SEC and made it to their second-straight conference championship game before falling to Alabama.
