Seeking to better approach research on student veterans, research associate Glenn Phillips will speak at the first lecture for Texas A&M’s Enhancing Diversity Seminar Series on Monday.
The lecture, titled “Why Critical is Critical: Looking at Student Veterans with A New Lens,” will focus on his research with graduate student veterans and will feature his new theory on the matter.
Christine Stanley, associate provost for diversity and acting vice provost for academic affairs, said in an email that the Seminar series offers Texas A&M an opportunity to commit to diversity as a whole.
“We cannot begin to achieve excellence if we do not value diversity in all its human dimensions – age, gender, gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, veteran status, nationality, culture, physical and/or mental ability,” Stanley said in the email.
The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. Monday in MSC Room 2300A.
