Aggies Against Apartheid, an unofficial student-run group at Texas A&M, is planning an Aug. 26 protest at Rudder Plaza, according to a post on their Instagram account.
The pro-Palestine protest has three goals, as stated by the post: getting the A&M System to disclose all investments, divest “from companies and other securities that are perpetuating apartheid and genocide in Palestine” and implement ethical and sustainable policies to ensure “TAMU will not become complicit in this again.”
“If you are an Aggie that’s against genocide & [sic] apartheid: we need your help, we need your voice and we need your support,” the post reads.
The Monday protest begins at 4:30 p.m. with sign-making and continues until a 5:30 p.m. march. The group organized two other demonstrations on April 29 and May 7 demanding similar goals. Both began and ended peacefully, lasting a few hours each.
In the post, the organization recommends prepping for the protest by turning off face and fingerprint identification on phones, wearing plain clothes and a surgical mask, covering up identifiable markings or tattoos and privating social media accounts. It also recommends removing personal names from the A&M directory, a website that allows anyone to search students’ names to find their email, major and classification.
“There have been instances of harassment where someone’s email was found via the directory,” the post reads.
The post states protesters should stay respectful and not engage with counter-protests, the media or the police.
“If arrest do occur — which is unlikely — do not resist,” the post reads.
The 5:30 p.m. march will begin at Rudder Plaza and pass the Academic Plaza, Evans Library and the Zachry Engineering Education Complex, among other locations.

I love that the only Democratic state in the region that will accept any religion race, sexual orientation does not discriminate against women and has Christians Muslims, and others in their armed forces is labeled apartheid and racist. They claimed Gaza was occupied, but they’ve had Hamas leading them and no Israeli forces for quite a while. It’s unfortunate that indeed many innocent lives lost, many are being used as human shields. Unfortunately, these terrorists and jihadists Only care about the destruction of anything to do with Western Society. Bring Palestine can only be freeing it from the hands of Iran’s proxies.

While I don’t support their cause at all and wish this wasn’t happening, they have a right to protest if they want. BUT If they burn or desecrate a US flag, they should expect people to want to put a fast stop to that.
