After leading Texas A&M to a groundbreaking 11-2 (6-2) season in the program’s first bout with the Southeastern Conference, Kevin Sumlin has agreed, in principle, to a salary increase and contract extension pending a February 2 Board of Regents meeting.
Additionally, increased salary packages have been approved for assistant coaches on the football staff. Details of either Sumlin nor his assistant’s salary increases are yet to be released.
For Texas A&M, securing Sumlin before the February 6th National Signing Day keeps the Aggies’ in the driving seat for their unprecedented recruiting class.
