Rice leads Texas A&M 3-1 at Olsen Field heading into the bottom of the fifth inning.
Freshman Turner Larkins is the starter on the mound for A&M, making his ninth start this year. Larkins surrendered three earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Ty Schlottmann came in for Larkins with an out in the fifth.
The Aggies scored first, with Mitchell Nau smacking a double to the right center field wall for the 1-0 Aggie lead. The Owls came back in the fourth with an RBI from John Clay Reeves to tie the game 1-1.
The Owls scored two runs in the fifth inning. Ryan Chandler hit an RBI double to left center to give the Owls a 2-1 advantage. An RBI groundout from Ford Stainback makes it a 3-1 Rice lead over Texas A&M.
