The Aggie women’s basketball head coach Gary Blair announced today that this will be his last season at Texas A&M. Blair has been with the Aggies since 2003 and has led the women’s basketball team to two Big 12 Championship wins, a SEC Championship win, and an NCAA Tournament Championship. The women’s basketball team will return to Reed Arena on Nov. 3 for an exhibition against Oklahoma Baptist at 7:00pm, the game is free to attend.

Coach Blair emphasized that he would not let his retirement get in the way of this season and that he planned on taking this team as far as they can go, before declaring that he “wants to go out on top.”

Coach Blair finished by saying that his commitment to Texas A&M was not going anywhere and that after this year he will be in the stands “second-guessing the next coach” just like all the other fans.
